Community - School Visits

Ross County Football Club | County in the Community

Our range of School Visit Programmes are about much more than just football coaching. We work with schools to utilise football as a springboard to teach children valuable lessons in a wide variety of different key skills ranging from teamwork and communication to co-ordination and rhythm. Each programme is carefully planned to provide the right blend of enjoyment and education in a controlled but stimulating environment.

You will find a list of the different sessions we offer below, but for more details please contact the team on 01349 860862.

Standard Session

Our Standard football sessions combine basic football skills like passing, dribbling and shooting with basic people skills like communicating with team-mates and classmates, which we present in a simple but effective way which makes the benefits clear to the participating Children. By showing children how they can get more enjoyment out of the session by working together, we give them the confidence and ability to carry these skills back to the classroom.
These are our most popular sessions with teachers commenting on how much both they and the children look forward to their next football session, and how they feel that both the boys and girls are working together to ensure that everyone is having fun.

Lunch Time and After School Clubs

We have had many Head Teachers come to us with the same problem - children fighting in the playground over a game of football during Lunch or Break times. Our aim is to put the enjoyment back into the game by explaining the reasons why this is not acceptable behaviour in the playground, and to show the benefits of working as a team that will show improvement in both the playground and also the classroom environment.

All Head Teachers that have come to us with this problem have said that they have noted an immediate difference in the behaviour of the children following the session.

Roger Spry

These sessions are aimed at improving the motor skills and rhythm of the children. Roger Spry is done to music with children working in pairs moving to the beat of the music. This is a great way

All the above courses can be done with children of any age or ability, and a vast majority of the schools that have booked us for a block before, have re-booked for the following term. School Visits can be booked for block bookings or one off sessions.
