The Lifeskills Through Sport (LTS) programme has been running now for over 4 years and is an integral part of Ross County Football Clubs activities.
The Projects
› Get a Goal (Under 18)
› Get a Goal (Over 18)
› Unlock Your Potential
› Parents on the Ball
› School Support

Its aim is primarily to help those who are on the fringes of education, work, training or their community regain the confidence and self esteem needed to get them refocused and ready to take the next step.
It does this through a number of programmes that are run in and around the club. All of the programmes include physical activity and classroom sessions, some include work placement and/ or working with “special needs” groups. All of the programmes aim to help the student develop and work on their own personal Action Plan.

As well as this we also spend time with schools supporting their mainstream curriculum work or working with smaller groups with specific needs.
Our main sources of referral are Careers Service, Jobcentre Plus and social work but we have strong links with other agencies and support bodies such as the Shirlie Project, NCH, Healthways and Local Enterprise Companies who all have referred to us at one time or another. It has happened that individuals have contacted us directly and have gone to programmes and we do not discourage this.
