In the light of high demand for tickets for the Alba Challenge Cup Final against Airdrie United on Sunday the 16th of November, Ross County have announced that they will be giving fans an extra opportunity to pick theirs up ahead of the game by opening for ticket sales on Saturday the 15th of November.
Fans hoping to see the Staggies repeat their 2006 success can buy tickets from the Main Reception at Victoria Park from 10:00 – 13:00 on Saturday, in addition to the normal office hours of 09:00 – 17:00 from Monday to Friday. Although spaces are limited, tickets for the Supporters Buses can be purchased at the same time on a first come, first served basis. Buses depart from the Stadium Car Park and Tore at 10:30, with a pick up at Inverness as required.
Head of Administration Ranald Gilbert has been delighted with the response received already, “I must admit that we were a little worried that the fact that the game is live on ALBA TV would keep some fans at home, but I should know better than to doubt our supporters! The response so far has been terrific and we are certainly looking like taking down a similar number of fans as we did in 2006 against Clyde. Having noted how many people have been using the online shop to purchase their tickets we realise that not everyone can visit the stadium or call between 9 and 5 so opening on the Saturday will hopefully give these people a chance to pick up tickets at a time convenient to them, as well as offering anyone making a last minute decision to head down the opportunity to pick up their tickets in advance.”
Manager Derek Adams commented, “This is a massive game for both the players and the Club as a whole, and the fans can really help by turning up in numbers and getting behind the team. Games like this don’t come along every day – it’s a real honour to represent the Club in a final and we’re hoping that it will be a day to remember for everyone, both fans and players alike.”

Thanks to Scottish Football League sponsors IRN-BRU, fans now have an extra incentive to pick up their tickets in advance. As well as skipping the queues and ensuring they don’t miss a second of the big match, everyone purchasing their tickets ahead of the game will be entered into a prize draw to be held at half time during the match with a top prize of an X-Box 360 along with a copy of top football game FIFA. What’s more, to make the winner really feel the part as they sit down to play, they and two lucky runners up will also win exclusive IRN-BRU SFL Manager’s jackets. Winners will be identified by their seat numbers and can pick up their prizes from Ross County by producing the corresponding match ticket at Victoria Park in the week following the game. |
