Having left Hamilton Academical during the transfer window, David Winters has signed for Ross County until the end of the season. Staggies fans will be well aware of his technical skill and eye for the spectacular as David (younger brother of ex-Aberdeen and Dundee United striker Robbie) first arrived in Dingwall back in January 2003 on loan from Dundee United before making the move permanent that summer. He contributed 38 goals during his time at County before moving to Hamilton in late summer 2006.

He will be a welcome addition to the squad for Derek, increasing the options available both up front and in midfield, but will be unable to play in the Scottish Cup tie against St Johnstone having played in the controversial 5th round match between Hamilton and Brechin.
