We are delighted to confirm that Gary Mackay Steven has signed a pre-contract agreement with Liverpool FC. Having impressed during his trial, Gary will head for the Anfield club's prestigious Academy at the end of the English season. Gary has come through the ranks of the County youth system all the way from Under 13 to Under 19 level, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the coaches and staff who have played a role in his development.

As an individual Gary has always been willing to put in the hard work and training to go alongside his exceptional natural skill, and we all look forward to seeing him light up the Premiership in the coming years.
Gary is not the only member of the Under 19 team attracting attention from south of the border. 16 year old right back Graham Girvan has recently completed a successful trial at Bolton Wanderers where he greatly impressed the Lancashire club's coaching staff. Meanwhile two members of the Under 19 squad are to travel to Celtic for trials next week.

Amidst all these goings on it's easy to forget that the Under 19's are still awaiting confirmation of the date for their Youth Cup semi-final against Rangers. We are hoping to get this in the next couple of days, so watch this space for further details
