We received confirmation from the Scottish Football League at 11:00 this morning (Friday the 07th of August) that the opening league fixture would go ahead on Saturday the 08th of August with a 15:00 kick-off. The opposition will be Airdrie United but our understanding is that the result will be provisional pending a potential appeal by Livingston against their relegation to the Third Division.

We would like to apologise to fans for the late confirmation of this but the matter has been outwith our control and we share your frustration at the doubt and confusion that has surrounded the game.
