Stagecoach have announced that they will be running a special matchday bus service to help Ross County supporters from the Black Isle get to Victoria Park for home matches. Until now many fans have been forced to travel via Inverness to get to the matches adding a significant amount of time and inconvenience to their journey with others unable to get to the match by public transport.
Thanks to the new service, which launches for the home game against Partick Thistle on the 24th of October, fans from across the Black Isle will be able to get a service bus direct to Victoria Park and home again after the match – something which pleases Chairman Dave Siegel.
“A few fans had mentioned to me that buses didn’t tie in with the football very well so I thought it was worth making an approach to Stagecoach. As soon as we raised the issue they couldn’t have been more helpful and the new matchday service is the result. As a Club we pride ourselves on listening to our fans and thanks to Stagecoach we have been able not only to listen to them but to take positive action to help them get to Victoria Park – there’s a great buzz about the Club at the moment thanks to what Derek and the players have achieved so far this season so it’s fantastic that supporters should find it easier to come along and be part of that.”
The service has started just in time for the much anticipated derby match against Inverness Caledonian Thistle on the 7th of November, tickets for which are on sale already and selling fast.
