Head Coach Derek Adams added yet another name to his list of summer signings, with Stuart Kettlewell the latest addition to his squad for the coming season.
The 25 year old midfielder started his career with Queen’s Park where he racked up almost 200 appearances for the Hampden Club. He was given the Captain’s armband for his final two seasons with the Spiders before his committed tackling, energy and desire secured a move up to the First Division with Clyde. During his season at Broadwood he made over 30 appearances for the Bullywee where he was again awarded the Captain’s armband, proving himself more than capable of dealing with the step up a Division.
Derek confirmed that he sees him as an important addition to the squad, “Stuart is the sort of player that every team needs – someone who is willing to get stuck in and do the hard graft in the middle of the park. He’s still a young player but has shown in his time with Queen’s Park and with Clyde that he has the physical and mental strength to make a difference in any game. I’m delighted to have brought him to Victoria Park as he will compliment the players we already have here, bringing something a bit different into the mix. |
