Derek Adams comfortably put to bed the rumour that the recipient of the Irn-Bru SFL Manager of the Month always loses their next match, as he saw his team put 6 past Alloa at Victoria Park - extending the unbeaten run to 8 matches in all competitions. Captain Stuart Golabek opened the scoring after 22 minutes before being joined on the score sheet by Irn-Bru SFL Player of the Month Andy Barrowman, Sean Higgins, Dene Shields, Alex Keddie and Andy Dowie in a performance that left the County fans in buoyant mood ahead of the Scottish Cup clash with St Johnstone on Tuesday night.

Although County will remain underdogs in the 5th round tie, confidence in the squad will be high following an accomplished team performance which could easily have seen the score reach double figures with two penalty appeals turned down and a cheeky attempt to catch the keeper napping by Michael Gardyne (making his first appearance since his return in the January transfer window) come back off the post. Although Gardyne and new signing David Winters are unavailable for the cup tie (having already played in the competition for Morton and Hamilton respectively), Paul Lawson and Mark McCulloch are both available for selection again having been suspended for Saturday but will have stiff competition from Darren Brady who performed well in his return to the team on Saturday.
