Parents on the Ball

This programme is aimed at young parents (lone or couples) who want to improve or find out more about parenting skills.

Parents on the ball

A 24 week programme based on the Webster Stratton model this programme is delivered by NCH and Healthways at Ross County Football Club. Each 3 hour session is divided 50:50 into Classroom and Physical Activity.

During the course of the programme students will cover:

  • Play
  • Praise
  • Rewards
  • Limit setting
  • Ignoring
  • Timeout
  • Consequences
  • Problem Solving
  • Communicating
  • Stress and Anger

And numerous specific problem areas such as lying, food problems, disobedience etc

The physical activity will be aimed at:

  • Increasing fitness
  • Reinforcing lessons from the classroom
  • Having fun
  • Discussing Lifestyle
