Derek Strengthens Squad with SPL experience

Rather than taking the opportunity to enjoy a well deserved summer break following the conclusion of the Second Division, Player/Manager Derek Adams has already been working to secure additions to the squad ahead of what promises to be an exciting but challenging return to the First Division.

Attacking midfielder Richie Hart has followed Stuart Golabek back over the bridge from Inverness Caledonian Thistle, joining Tony Bullock and Derek himself who are also in their second spells at Victoria Park. Since signing his pre-contract agreement with the Staggies in January the 30 year old has forced his way back into Craig Brewster's plans with appearances in the recent victories over Gretna and Kilmarnock. Joining Richie at pre-season training will be Scott Morrison, the left-sided player making the move North from Dunfermline. Having been capped by Scotland 12 times at Under 21 level and played for the Pars in the Scottish Cup final, Scott brings a huge amount of experience for someone who is only just about to turn 24. Finally another player bringing top level experience to County is Steven Craig, the ex-Aberdeen striker joining from Livingston after two seasons of First Division experience which will be invaluable as the team face up to the challenge of stepping back up a division.

Inevitably the end of the season sees the departure of players as well as new arrivals and Alan Creer, Mark Nicolson, David Niven, Hugh Robertson and Darren Brady have all left the Club along with Gary Miller whose loan from Livingston has come to an end. Ross County would like thank each of them for their time at Victoria Park and wish them the very best in their future careers.
