The board of Ross County FC tonight (Saturday 12 February,
2011) announced that the club has parted company with manager
Willie McStay, with immediate effect.
The manager's departure follows a series of disappointing
results in Ross County's First Division campaign.
Club Chairman Roy MacGregor and the manager discussed the
situation following today's 0-0 draw with Stirling Albion and Mr
McStay's departure was agreed by mutual consent.
The board would like to express their thanks to Mr McStay
for his commitment and effort during his time at the club and wish
him well for the future.
A recruitment process by the board to identify and appoint
a new manager will begin straight away. In the meantime the
club's Director of Football, George Adams, will assist with the
running of first team affairs.
