Highland business man Dave Stephen has further
extended his support of grass-roots football in the Highlands by
taking on the sponsorship of Ross County's Matchday
Club.
Mr Stephen who owns Invergordon based Safety Welding &
Lifting (International) Ltd has been a long time supporter
of football across the Highlands with the "SWL" North
Caledonian League Cup benefitting from his sponsorship.
His support continues into youth football and can be seen
through the backing he provides to Invergordon's youth set up and
also his title sponsorship of the "SWL" Ross-Shire Youth
Leagues.
There is no question Mr Stephen, an uncompromising centre-half
in his day, has a passion to see that the Highland's continues
to develop talented footballers, which is why his backing of the
Ross County Match Day Club was such a nice fit for him.

He first saw the
fantastic work being carried out by County in the Community when he
took his grand-son Jamie to a session. Each match day over forty
children are given ninety minutes of the best possible coaching
from SFA qualified coaches prior to taking to the stands to
see "The Staggies" play in the Irn-Bru First
Division.
Mr Stephen commented "To see such an
enthusiastic group of coaches that between them hold every
possible SFA qualification, passing on their knowledge
to these youngsters is fantastic, the kids that attend are
getting taught by some of the most qualified coaches
about, they really don't know how fortunate they
are".
"This is what developing talent is all about, capturing
them at a young age and giving them the best possible chance; Ross
County have a track record in doing that and for that reason I am
delighted to be a part of it"
Steven Ferguson, former Ross County stalwart and now
Head of Community at the Club said; "To have SWL on board is
fantastic, Dave has been a generous supporter of the Club for a
number of years now, by extending his support to the Matchday
Club it gives us the opportunity to further develop the
courses we are offering, which is great news for the budding
young footballers of the Highlands".
