Steven Craig scored his fourth goal in a week as County secured
a point at the Falkirk Stadium, however having dominated the second
half the Staggies will be disappointed that Farid El Alagui's late
equaliser denied them the three points which their performance
merited.
However the point away to one of the favourites for the title
brings to a close a good week for County during which they picked
up their first league win of the season at home to Queen of the
South and progressed to the third round of the Scottish Communities
League Cup with victory away to Hamilton Academical. The team now
has a break for the International weekend before back to back home
games against Partick Thistle on the 10th of September and
Livingston on the 17th, tickets for both of which are on sale
online already.
Before that the Club will find out their opponents in the Third
Round of the League Cup, with the draw rescheduled for 11:30 on
Monday the 29th at the Toryglen Regional Football facility in
Glasgow. As County are unseeded they will face one of the following
eight seeded teams: Rangers, Celtic, Hearts, Dundee United,
Motherwell, Kilmarnock, St Johnstone and Aberdeen. News on the draw
will follow here as soon as it is available.
