Ross County progressed to the next round of the
Scottish Cup with a comfortable win over Highland League
Deveronvale.
The team from Banff were well supported with over
300 fans travelling West to cheer on their team in the hope of
a Cup upset.
It was the Staggies that took the
lead after 28 minutes as Gary Miller converted Iain Vigurs' corner
before Andy Barrowman doubled the lead from close range.
Fifteen minutes after the break it was County who found the
back of the net again, Steven Craig giving the Staggies a
three-goal cushion following good work from fellow striker
Barrowman down the right.
After coming on as a sub Mike McKenzie scored a consolation
penalty for the visitors before Barrowman gave County their
fourth in the final minute.
The Staggies can now look forward to the draw for the next round
which will take place on Monday 22nd, at 11.30 am and will be shown
live on Sky Sports News.
