Under 19 Squad

Ross County's Under 19 team compete in the SFL Youth League. The Under 19 team is there to bridge the gap between Youth Football and the First Team, but the focus is not entirely on playing; alongside their training the players also work towards their coaching badges. Should a professional contract not be forthcoming they are at least left with qualifications that they can use to continue with a career in football or follow other career paths such as PE teaching.

Whilst they clinched the SFL League Title in 2006/07 and reached the semi final of the Scottish Youth Cup the same season, success for the Under 19 team is more realistically measured by the career paths of the players it produces. Scottish International Don Cowie, who is now playing for English Championship side Cardiff City, came through the ranks at Ross County. Alex Cooper secured a move to Liverpool whilst playing for the Under 19s and Mark Ridgers is highly regarded at Hearts.  Joe Malin one of the longest standing members of our First Team squad was also a prominent figure in our Under 19's.

The Under 19's form an integral part of the Club's vision for future success, and anyone interested in running their eye over the next generation of County stars can watch any of their league games free of charge. Having supporters there to cheer them on really makes a difference to the boys, so the more the merrier!

Home fixtures are normally played on the Jubilee pitches behind Victoria Park - for further details please contact the club on 01349 860860.

Osvald Pub

This season Ross County's youth set-up has benefitted enormously from the generosity of the Osvald Pub in Stord, Norway. Robert Delis, proprietor of the Osvald Pub has become a close friend of the Club following his first taste of Victoria Park, nearly a decade ago. Having made over twenty trips to Dingwall, through which he has introduced over eighty of his friends to all things Ross County, Robert has successfully managed to set up what can only be described as our Norwegian Supporters' Club.

Anyone who visits Victoria Park will be well aware of the Osvald Pub's advertising board that adorns the roof section of the West Stand, in addition to this support Robert took it upon himself to sponsor the vast majority of this season's Youth Kit, providing training gear to over seventy five children.

So if you ever happen to be in Stord, Norway and find yourself needing a County fix, be sure to pop into the Osvald Pub, you will certainly be made to feel at home!
