Ross County, in partnership with Inverness-based Ark Estates, have shown their support to Park Primary in wake of the devastating fire earlier this week. Park Primary, one of our sponsored schools is a key part of not only the Invergordon community but of the Ross County family.
Earlier today, Sporting Director Scott Boyd was joined by Community Coach Ryan Farquhar, on behalf of the club, in donating a range of items to support the children affected by the fire. Dropped off to the schools temporary base at Invergordon Academy, were a range of Ross County Schoolbags, pencil cases and water bottles to help ensure that what was lost in the fire could hopefully be replaced to the school pupils.
On the visit today, Sporting Director Scott Boyd said “Park Primary is one of 17 schools we work with on a weekly basis and each one of those schools is part of our club. It was tragic situation earlier this week and, praise has to go to the staff for ensuring that everybody was evacuated safely and now the job is to support the children through what has been such a traumatic experience. The part we play just now is very small but we hope that by donating these products we can help the children.”
We, as a club, have already seen the incredible support of the local community in trying to make things happen for the pupils and we would encourage as many people as possible to continue to show their support. Drop off points for items such as clothing, school bags and school equipment can be made at Invergordon Co-op, South Lodge Primary and Invergordon Academy.
Park Primary, as mentioned, is part of our Sponsor a School programme where our community team deliver physical activity to the children every week through the sponsorship of MA Ventures. The financial commitment from MA Ventures, allows us to help children to improve physical, mental, social and emotional wellbeing.
