LOAN WATCH Big Win for MacDonald & Grant

Gregor MacDonald & Jack Grant enjoyed an exceptional afternoon at Kynoch Park as they both started in a 7-1 home win for their loan side Keith against Strathspey Thistle. The match also so Gregor MacDonald get on the scoresheet as the two young Staggies helped Keith to their biggest win so far this season.

Joel MacBeath and his Montrose rise made it 4 wins in a row after a 2-1 win at home to Stranraer. After a difficult start to the League campaign, the win, which saw MacBeath play the full match, lifted the Links Park side in to 7th in League One and on to 13 points for the season.

Elsewhere in League One, Declan McManus and his Falkirk team slipped to a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Clyde. With Gomis sent off for the Bairns they were unable to stop the Cumbernauld side taking all 3 points, which now leaves Falkirk in 3rd place, 2 points off leaders Raith Rovers. Ross Munro missed out through injury as his League-leading Raith side drew with 2nd place East Fife. In a highly competitive match both teams stay joint top on 21 points.

James Wallace & Tom Kelly got their first taste of one of the North of Scotland’s more fierce rivalries as their Brora side travelled to Wick Academy. The Cattach’s came away from Harmsworth Park with a 1-0 victory where Kelly played the full match with James Wallace coming off the bench in the second half. The win lifts Brora in to second place in the league 3 points behind league leaders Buckie Thistle.

Jack Murray missed out as his league-leading Buckie Thistle fell to a 4-3 loss at Christie Park, Huntly. Having lost in their previous outing in the Scottish Cup against Bonnyrigg Rose it is now two matches without a win for Graeme Stewart’s side.

Declan Hughes loan side Forres Mechanics lost out 2-1 at home to Deveronvale. Hughes, who played from the start, saw Stuart Soane pull a goal back for Forres with moments to go after going two down but the Can Cans failed to rescue a point.
