LOAN WATCH MacBeath makes his mark

This week’s loan watch saw our Staggies on the end of some impressive results. So lets recap…

Joel MacBeath scored his first Montrose goal as Stewart Petrie’s side beat Peterhead 4-3 at Links Park. In what definitely seemed like a “Game of the Week” contender, MacBeath scored the opener in what we hope will be the first of many for the young Staggies striker.

Declan McManus saw his Falkirk side draw 0-0 with East Fife. With both sides competing at the top end of League One it was always going to be a tight affair.

Ross Munro will miss some upcoming fixtures for Raith Rovers as he recovers from a shoulder injury. Although not playing, Raith romped to a 2-1 victory away at Forfar to send them to the League One summit.

James Wallace & Tom Kelly were on the best scoreline of the weekend. The two young Staggies played in a 6-1 win for Brora Rangers away at Inverurie. The win has Brora top of the Highland League on goal difference.

Jack Murray didn’t have a match due to Buckie’s away trip to Turriff being called off due to a Waterlogged Pitch.

Declan Hughes was also left without a fixture as Forres’ home clash with Clachnacuddin was postponed due to the Inverness side having a Scottish Cup replay with Nairn County to contend with.
