LOAN WATCH Raith rise to top

Ross Munro kept a clean sheet for Raith Rovers as they hit top spot in Ladbrokes League 1 following a home win over Airdrie. In a match the hosts edged 1-0, there were 3 red cards, two for Raith and one for Airdrie, however the Kirkcaldy side managed to hold on to the lead and send themselves to the summit.

Joel MacBeath and his Montrose teammates climbed back in to 5th position in League 1 after a 2-0 win away at Dumbarton. A goal in either half was enough to win it for Stewart Petrie’s side with MacBeath making an appearance from the bench.

Declan McManus and his Falkirk side stayed in 3rd place after a 0-0 draw with East Fife at Bayview. With McManus playing the whole match, he was unable to break-through the home sides resistance as the hosts sit one point behind McManus and his Falkirk side in the table.

James Wallace & Tom Kelly were the only other loan watch stars in action after a spate of postponements across the Highland League and Highland League Cup. Wallace bagged a goal whilst Kelly kept a clean sheet for their loan side Brora Rangers as they flew past Huntly 6-0 in the latest round of the aforementioned Highland League Cup.
