James Wallace & Tom Kelly played their part as their Brora Rangers team eased past Clachnacuddin in the first round of the Scottish Cup at Grant Street Park. The Cattachs ran out 7-0 winners and will now face Championship side Morton in round 3.
Jack Murray made a TV appearance on Friday night as he & his Buckie teammates had their Scottish Cup tie with Bonnyrigg Rose screened live on BBC Scotland. It wasn’t to be the start of a Scottish Cup story for Buckie however, as their hosts Bonnyrigg Rose scored twice in the second half to book their place in the 3rd round draw.
In Domestic Action…
Declan McManus returned to the scoresheet for his loan team Falkirk. They breezed by Peterhead 4-0 with McManus scooping Man of the Match for his performance.
Ross Munro missed out through injury as his Raith Rovers side maintained their place at the top of Ladbrokes League 1. The Kirkcaldy team drew 2-2 with Clyde as they also kept their unbeaten run going.
Joel MacBeath and his Montrose teammates have now made it 3 wins in a row in Ladbrokes League One. Overcoming Airdrie 3-1 away from home, it has lifted the Links Park club in to 8th position and on to 10 points, MacBeath featured for 66 minutes of the win.
Declan Hughes played a vital role in another convincing win for his Forres Mechanics team. They defeated Huntly 4-1 at Christie Park with Hughes playing a leading role in the win which now lifts the Can Cans to 8th in the Highland League.
Gregor MacDonald & Jack Grant both started for Keith as they faced off with Fraserburgh at Bellsea Park. The Maroons went down 4-0 at the hands of the Broch who are high-flying in 2nd place in the Highland League
