Loan Watch Tight at the Top

Ross Munro’s Raith Rovers are now joined by two other teams’ level at the top of Ladbrokes League 1. In what was a shock home defeat for Raith they fell 2-0 Dumbarton thanks to two first half goals. This result only keeps Raith on top by goal difference in what is proving to be a very tight race at the top end of the division.

Declan McManus notched again as his Falkirk side now sit just one point off joining the 3 teams above on a 32-point tally. In a very exciting match against Montrose the Bairns managed to win the match deep in stoppage time after Montrose battled from 2-0 to level the game with 5 minutes remaining.

Tom Kelly & James Wallace enjoy another weekend at the top of the Highland League with their loan club Brora Rangers. Kelly opened the scoring in an 8-0 rout against Lossiemouth. Wallace failed to get himself on the scoresheet but the win now sees Brora having won 15 of their 17 league matches this campaign.

Gregor MacDonald also endured an enjoyable Saturday in the Highland League. He and his Keith teammates recorded a very strong 4-0 win over Fort William at Kynoch Park. Fellow Keith Loanee Jack Grant was unavailable for the Moray outfit due to illness.

Declan Hughes and his Forres side did not endure an enjoyable Saturday. The Mosset Park side going down 4-0 at the hands of a clinical Inverurie Locos side.

Jack Murray and his loan side Buckie Thistle went down 3-2 at Fraserburgh. Despite Buckie coming from behind twice they couldn’t do it a third time and the Broch keep a valuable 3 points.
