Post Match Reaction Steven Ferguson

After today’s 4-0 loss at the Tony Macaroni Area, Steven Ferguson gave us his thoughts…

“It’s disappointing to lose the match in the manner in which we did. We felt that the team lacked energy and competitiveness and you know when you come up against Livingston you are going to have to be competitive for 90 minutes.”

“We started the game ok. We looked like we had that spark from the last two games, but we concede two cheap goals before half time and it gives us an uphill challenge going in to the second half.”

“As a group we don’t use the sickness bug as an excuse, the team we put out were capable of competing today and we have to take responsibility as a group for not producing across the ninety minutes. Credit to Livingston they took their chances and were a real threat but we know we can do better.”

“Now we move on to what is going to be another difficult challenge when Motherwell come up on Boxing Day. Its not hard to see how well they have been doing but we have to take heart from our result and performance down their earlier this season and also from the two games before this one today.”
