Post Match Reaction Steven Ferguson

Following today's 1-0 defeat at home to Rangers, Steven Ferguson commented:

"It was a much improved performance to Wednesday and also to the last time Rangers came up here. We thought that we managed parts of the game well, especially up against quality opposition. We never got too drawn in by all the drama surrounding Rangers of recent, we know just how ruthless they can be and the depth of quality they have and we had to stay focused on our own jobs today.

The goal is disappointing, it takes one or two deflections on its way through and in big games like this we are looking for that bit of luck if we are going to take something from the game but it went their way today. We did creat chances and Billy, Josh and Ross have managed to get themselves in to great situations but we just couldn’t nick one that could have given us something today.

We head in to 3 big games now and a further 5 in the split. What we have said from day one is that we want to make sure that Ross County are playing Premiership football next year and in order to do that we are going to have to take points from games starting with next weekends match here against Hamilton. The league has become tighter in the past week but we have the belief in our group that we have what it takes to keep Ross County in the Premiership."
