After today's 1-0 loss at Ayr United we managed to catch up with Stuart Kettlewell.
“We didn’t do enough in the game to make it through to the next round. From the start we didn’t get at Ayr and we weren’t pro-active enough. Full credit to Ayr, its their one shot on goal in the whole match but they have made it count and that is the difference today.”
“They dropped deeper in the second half but they had something to protect and it’s a very difficult place to come when that happens, but we could have been better. We could have used the ball better, tested them more, but we didn’t and we have to be honest with ourselves and admit we didn’t do enough today.”
“Wednesday is massive, everybody knows that but its more important for us now to go out and give a reaction. The players know that they can do better than they have shown today, and they will need to be at their best when we face Hearts on Wednesday.”
