Club Statement: Cashless Stadium.
28/04/2026
From 1 June 2026, Ross County will take a significant step forward by becoming a fully cashless stadium.
Over recent years, the Highlands has seen a steady closure of bank branches, making it increasingly difficult for individuals and businesses alike to access and handle cash.
For Ross County, this has created growing operational challenges behind the scenes, from managing floats to securely transporting cash.
The move to cashless is a response to that reality.
Undoubtedly, there will be transition issues; however, we firmly believe this is a positive step in future-proofing the club.
CEO Steven Ferguson explained: "We’re first and foremost a Community club, and this decision reflects what’s happening across the communities we serve.
“Access to cash simply isn’t what it once was, and we have to adapt to that reality.
“At the same time, this is a positive step forward.
“It allows us to create a smoother, more efficient matchday experience while improving safety and service for supporters.
“Most importantly, we’ll make sure nobody is left behind as we make this transition."
For our supporters, the change will be felt most in the matchday experience, and we hope, in a positive way.
Faster queues, smoother transactions, and the convenience of tapping a card or phone are all part of the shift.
Here is a look at what will be changing:
· - The shop will be card only. No cash will be accepted.
· - Matchday will operate on card payments only. This will apply to the ticket office, car park, and 50/50.
· - Children attending Community Courses will no longer be able to pay cash on the day. Participants can pay online.
· - The lottery will transition to online-only.
· - Our matchday tea bars will also move to cashless operating.
We understand that not everyone moves at the same pace when it comes to digital change.
That’s why we will focus on guidance and support, ensuring fans feel comfortable and informed ahead of the new systems being put in place.
