Supporters Liaison Officer (SLO) - Role and Contact

What an SLO Does (General Role)

A Supporters Liaison Officer (SLO) acts as a bridge between supporters and the club, helping communicate fan views, questions and concerns to club leadership, and making sure fans have clear, friendly, and direct lines to get information and help. The role is recognised across Scottish football as an important way to improve engagement and matchday experience for supporters.

Typical duties include:

Shared Purpose & Impact

Together, Kenny MacLennan and Faye Mackay help ensure that Ross County’s fans are heard and supported — whether through matchday interaction, advisory boards, or routine communication — and that the club’s decisions consider supporter views.

What Our Supporter Liaison Officers Do

• Answering supporter queries
They handle questions and correspondence from fans on a range of topics including matchday arrangements, ticketing, travel and supporter services.

• Supporting matchday engagement
Kenny and Faye are present on matchdays — at home and away fixtures — to welcome supporters, provide information, and assist with any issues that arise before, during and after the game.

• Representing supporter views
They gather feedback, suggestions and concerns from the fanbase and communicate this back to senior Club staff to help inform decision-making and improve supporter experience across all areas of Club activity.

• Liaising with internal club departments
By working closely with operations, ticketing, commercial and other departments, the SLO team helps ensure supporter perspectives are considered in planning and delivery of Club initiatives.
