Jack Baldwin signs for County

25/08/2021

Jack Baldwin has today signed for Ross County FC, becoming the newest addition to Malky Mackay’s Premiership squad. 28-year-old defender Baldwin, joins the club from Bristol Rovers on a permanent deal.

Jack made 85 appearances for Hartlepool United, playing under former County Manager Neale Cooper during his time with The Pool. He then signed for Peterborough Utd in January 2014, with whom he featured in 118 games, playing in the League One Play Offs, and also becoming Club Captain.

His performances for The Posh, brought him to the attention of Sunderland AFC, signing for them in the summer of 2018, where he played in 41 consecutive games for the Wearsiders, as they narrowly missed out on an immediate return to the Championship. He also claimed a runners-up medal in the EFL Trophy that season too.

Jack signed for Bristol Rovers in June 2020, playing nearly 50 times for The Gas, and he joins Ross County with well over 300 appearances in English Football.

We would like to welcome Jack to Ross County and look forward to him joining the squad.

Manager Malky Mackay said, “Jack is a player that I have tracked for some time. We spoke at length to him about the club, our ambitions and why we wanted him to be part of our plan and we are delighted the he has chosen to join us.”

“Jack joins us in the prime of his career, brings great experience to the group, and we look forward to seeing him pull on the Ross County jersey.”
