Ross County Football Club are delighted that academy youngster Joe Coyle has been called up as part of the Scotland under-17s training camp.

Joe made his debut in the League Cup against Edinburgh City. The young forward netted twice on his debut, slotting home calmly on two occasions in an eight-nil win.

Coyle will attend the training camp being held in Largs, where he will be put through his paces by Brian McLaughlin, head coach of the Under-17s set up.

Ross County manager, Don Cowie, said: "We are delighted Joe has been called up to the U-17’s national camp as it’s recognition for his outstanding performances for our academy.

"Every time I watch him play at youth level, he impresses.

"Since the summer, he has come into the club on a full-time basis & has continued his development when training with the first team.

"We all saw the potential that Joe possesses when he made his competitive debut versus Edinburgh City in the League Cup when he took his two goals extremely well.

"Joe has a bright future ahead of him, and we look forward to working with him and wish him the very best next week."
