MacKinnon & Wright join Montrose on loan

Adam MacKinnon & Matthew Wright have today joined Montrose FC on season-long loans.
Both players will join Stewart Petrie’s League One side- who last season reached the play-offs- as they test themselves in what is going to be one of Scotland’s most competitive leagues.
Adam & Matthew both had a taste of Scottish Premiership football last season, following successful loans in the Highland League at Brora Rangers in the first half of the campaign. Matthew memorably scored the equaliser in our 3-3 draw with Rangers in January whilst Adam made his Premiership debut in our 3-1 victory over St Johnstone in February.
Manager Malky Mackay said, “This is the next step in the development of both Adam & Matthew. It is vitally important that we have a pathway for our talented young players to eventually pull on the Staggies Jersey. Partner clubs are key to the development of our players and the Highland League & SPFL divisions are a great test for them.”
