MATCH PREVIEW | Ross County v Hibernian

29/09/2022

This weekend sees the return of the cinch Premiership following a successful international break for Scotland. We are back in Dingwall as we host Hibernian at the Global Energy Stadium.

TEAM NEWS

Malky Mackay will still be without Alex Samuel, Connor Randall and George Harmon. However, the international break has allowed players to gain key fitness ahead of a busy period coming up.

LAST SEASON

It was a mixed bag last season with the home team in this fixture claiming the win on all occasions.

Hibernian claimed a 3-0 win on Matchday 2 of the 2021/22 season at Easter Road with Ross County still trying to find their feet under the guidance of Malky Mackay.

County claimed all 3 points with a 1-0 win in Dingwall on a frosty November evening before Hibernian ran out 2-0 winners in Leith during February.

THIS OPPOSITION

Hibernian have been buoyed by a positive start to the campaign that has seen them win three and draw two of their opening seven Premiership fixtures.

Currently sitting in 6th place, with 11 points from a possible 21, Lee Johnson’s side travel to Dingwall looking to claim their 2nd win on the road of the 2022/23 season.

The Easter Road outfit have seen a turnover of players during the summer with the most notable addition being the return of Leith Legend Martin Boyle.

Academy Graduate Josh Campbell has been a leading light for Lee Johnson so far this season. In all competitions, Campbell has notched 5 goals in 10 appearances for Hibernian.
