Matchday to be dedicated to Foundation

10/01/2023

Ross County’s home match with Dundee United on Saturday 25th February 2023, will mark the club’s first-ever 'Foundation Day'.

The fixture has been chosen to celebrate the work of the club’s community foundation and to showcase the projects and initiatives happening across the Highlands & Islands.

Players will wear Foundation warm up t-shirts and there will be a unique one-off matchday programme available for sale where all profits will be donated to the club’s charitable arm. In addition, there will be a bucket collection and the club’s half of the 50/50 draw that day will be donated to the Ross County Foundation.

Over 600 tickets have already been given to a range of charitable organisations and community groups for the match that will see visitors from across the Highlands & Islands attend the cinch Premiership clash. There will be other events and features on the day that will be announced in the coming weeks.

Club CEO Steven Ferguson said, “We have been very progressive with our foundation over the past 10 months or so and it’s important we recognise both the work of the foundation and of our community team over the previous years on this day.”

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for the club to showcase its role in the community and to enable the foundation to continue its growth over the coming years. We are absolutely delighted with the internal response we have had to the idea and we hope our supporters will get right behind it and we are sure it will be a day to remember.”

Foundation Manager, Dale Pryde-MacDonald added, “Firstly my thanks go to Steven and the club for allowing us this great opportunity. We want to use the day to raise awareness of what we are doing and also what we want to do going forward.”

“We have a small, but very passionate team that work for the foundation and it’s about recognising what they put in and the standards they deliver in programmes across our area. Our hope is that every fan leaves the game with a better, stronger and more enthusiastic knowledge of The Ross County Foundation.”
