Scotland Under 19 call up for Josh Reid
Ross County are delighted to announce that Academy Graduate Josh Reid has been selected for the Scotland Under 19 squad for their upcoming fixtures.
Josh, who has started all but one Premiership fixture for the Staggies this campaign, was introduced to the first team by Stuart Kettlewell this summer following an impressive campaign with both the Under 18 and Reserve Teams last season.
Having come through the Academy since aged 8 years old, Josh is a real testament to hard work, dedication and commitment and everybody at the club wishes Josh well on his first national team call up.
Manager Stuart Kettlewell said:
"Its a fantastic moment for Josh and his family. To be called up for your country at any level is recognition of talent and dedication and Josh has undoubtedly shown that since he has come in to Premiership football."
"To be as young as he is and be playing well at such a level is a real feather in the cap for Josh and as we have all said we want this to just be a start point for him and to continue to see his development in the coming months and years. Having the opportunity to go away with our country at Under 19 level will certainly give him that platform to enhance his development."
Josh will be part of Billy Stark's Under 19's squad that face a double-header with England south of the border on the 8th and 11th October.
