Simon Murray joins Dundee FC

Ross County FC can confirm Simon Murray has joined Dundee FC for an undisclosed fee.

Simon made 62 appearances for the Staggies, scoring 26 times in the process. This included a fantastic return of 23 goals last season.

Manager, Don Cowie, commented, ‘Simon has been a brilliant asset for our football club since arriving from Queens Park. His goal return last season was a big contributing factor in us retaining our Premiership status. Simon has a young family whom he needs to be closer to at this time and once our valuation was met, we could not stand in his way of this. We wish Simon and his family the very best of luck for the future.’

CEO, Steven Ferguson added, ‘It has been well documented the interest in Simon and the need for Simon to return South to be closer to his family. Dundee FC met our valuation and after trying everything we could to keep Simon, we have reluctantly accepted this offer. I echo Don’s comments and on behalf of all at Ross County FC, would like to put on record our thanks to Simon for his time at Ross County FC and wish him and his family all the very best in the future.’
