Staggies support Mikeysline

10/06/2021

This year more than ever, fundraising, engaging and delivering for charities has been so challenging. Ross County have been working alongside Inverness-based mental health charity Mikeysline to support the organisation as they aim to achieve further growth of their service across the Highlands in the future.

Having created strong links with Mikeysline over the past 2 years, the Staggies have donated £245.00 to the charity after the sales of a unique product range in the club shop saw all money received through sales go directly to the charity.

Ross County sold a unique range of stags-head cufflinks, of which every penny raised has gone directly to supporting Mikeysline’s mental health support operation- helping people across the North through a text, phone and drop-in service. The total sales raised £245.00, will go towards enabling the charity to live out its ambitions of being a leading mental health charity for the Highlands.

On the project, Commercial Manager, Lorraine Christie said,

“We were in a really fortunate situation that we were able to do this and see it supported so well by our fans who purchased the cufflinks. In relative terms we understand that this is a drop in the ocean of what it takes to run their operation but, we want to play our part in supporting a charity that now more than ever is required following the really tough times the pandemic has brought over the past 15 months.”

Mikeysline, Chairperson Donna Smith said,

“We were delighted to receive this ongoing support from Ross County which will help us continue to develop our services, reaching an ever-widening audience. Ross County have been great over the last couple of years doing things like getting their players involved to help raise awareness about what we do at Mikeysline and we look forward to continuing that relationship in the future.”
