Stewart departs Staggies

Ross County can this afternoon confirm that Ross Stewart has joined League One side Sunderland for an undisclosed fee.
After two-and-a-half years at the Global Energy Stadium, Ross notched 28 goals in 82 appearances for the Staggies, playing a vital part in the Championship & Challenge Cup winning campaign as well as both Premiership campaigns in 2019/20 & 2020/21.
Over the recent transfer windows, Ross had been subject to much transfer speculation, which is a credit to how well he has performed for our club. Ross’ performances also made him a fans favourite and he will always be remembered for his time & achievements here in Dingwall.
Everybody at the club wishes Ross success in his next chapter, and we look forward to watching him go from strength to strength.
