Tillson signs new contract in Dingwall

08/03/2022

We are delighted to confirm that Jordan Tillson has today signed a contract extension at the club that will keep him at the Global Energy Stadium until Summer 2024.

Jordan, who joined County from Exeter City in January 2020, has been an important figure for the club over the past two seasons, playing a vital role in retaining our Scottish Premiership status. Since arriving, Tillson has made 71 appearances for Ross County in midfield.

With over 110 appearances for The Grecians prior to joining Ross County, Jordan was seen as an experienced combative midfielder that could play a key part in a Ross County side in Scottish Premiership following the club’s promotion under Stuart Kettlewell & Steven Ferguson. Jordan, who had also captained Exeter, has continued to impress under the guidance of Malky Mackay where he has been a constant started in the centre of the County midfield.

On re-signing Jordan, Manager Malky Mackay has said “Jordan is a terrific lad who, as one of the more experienced players here, is one of the leaders in the dressing room. He plays a really big part for us every time he crosses the white line and is a great asset in the middle of the park. Jordan is really invested in what we are trying to do at Ross County and is key, as a senior player, in helping us drive forward with what we want to achieve.”

“As well as enjoying his football here, it is clear to see that Jordan is settled in the Highlands with his young family so it’s great to have him with us for another two years.”
