Tillson: "The Lads are so together"

13/01/2021

Jordan Tillson met with the media yesterday morning to discuss his feelings in advance of County’s encounter with Aberdeen at the Global Energy Stadium on Saturday.

The midfielder explained the significance of the match and how County have been preparing for the test this weekend:

“The lads are so together, and we’ve got such a good atmosphere amongst us. We’re looking to bounce back with a win on Saturday at home, it’s obviously an important game for us, we need the points, the optimism is there.”

“We’ve got to try and strengthen our results and get a couple of wins on the bounce. Look at what some of the other sides have done. If you win three or four games in this league, you can really push up the league, so it is our aim to do that.”

‘Tilly’ joined the Staggies nearly exactly a year ago. He has gone on to make 32 appearances for the club and is loving life in the Highlands:

“I’ve loved every minute I’ve been here, it’s such a great place to live and the club is great! It’s such a family club, everyone is so together.

“We’re missing the fans greatly, it’s obviously tough, when I first came up it was great to have everyone in the stadiums and at the moment it’s not happening, but hopefully we can get back to that as soon as possible.”

“It’s a great club, I just want to plat as many games as I can for this club, and hopefully we can push up this league.

He also shared his gratitude towards the continuation of elite football in Scotland’s top 2 leagues after all football below the Scottish Championship was suspended for 3 weeks on Monday:

“Not everyone is getting the opportunity to go out and go to work, it’s great to have that routine and I feel privileged that I can do that every day. It’s nice to get out and be amongst people who want to progress in their careers.
