Trio join alness on loan

Ross County Football Club can confirm that youngsters Ruaridh Campbell, Sam MacLennan and Alexander Brown have joined Alness United on loan for the 2026/27 season.
Alness United finished second in the North Caledonian League last season behind Invergordon, with the league already proving a good platform for our youngsters to gain important minutes within a men’s first-team environment.
Ruaridh and Sam both signed their first professional contracts with the club this summer, and will now look to continue their development with Alness.
Alexander, a goalkeeper, has also joined the side on loan after some very impressive performances for our under 17’s.
Football Development Director, Campbell Money, said: “The North Caley league has been a real success for us when looking to develop our youngest professionals.
“We believe Alness United will provide a positive and competitive platform for the lads to really try and kick on, and develop all the fundamentals they need to reach the ultimate goal of playing in our first-team.
“We would like to thank Alness for their work and care with our young players, and we wish them all the best for the season ahead.”
