20/02/2024

Our U13s squad have been invited to compete in the Super Cup NI 2024 formerly known as the Milk Cup. The competition takes places in Northern Ireland from the 21st – 26th of July and the boys will compete in the “Minor Section” and may face any of the following teams - Celtic, Kilmarnock, Stevenage, Plymouth Argyle, IDA Bermuda, Surf Select, USSSA Select, Glentoran, Linfield, Crusaders, Cliftonville, Loughhall Youth, Glenavon FC, Ballymena Utd, Coleraine FC.

Head of Childrens & U13s Lead coach Ryan Farquhar had the following to say “This is going to be a fantastic experience for us all and we are delighted to have been invited across the water to compete in the competition. I have worked with this group of players for two years now and have seen all of the boys improve so much individually and as a team. To be able to take them on a trip to experience playing against a number of teams from different cultures and countries is fantastic and I hope the boys will not only enjoy the occasion but will make memories for a long time”

Academy Manager, Gary Warren says “This will be a special occasion for our U13s team who will get to put their footballing skills to the test against clubs from all over the world. The NI Super Cup will allow our boys to experience different cultures and challenges that they may not have been used to in their current regime”

The squad have been working hard away from the pitch with various forms of fundraising to aid them on this journey. If anyone is interested in donating to help the squad on their way you can do so at the following link https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/sharon-mcdonald-5 or alternatively if you are interested in sponsoring the squad please feel free to get in touch with either Ryan or Gary at ryan.farquhar@rosscountyfootballclub.co.uk or gary.warren@rosscountyfootballclub.co.uk
