West Stand Seating Update

11/08/2021

As the club continues to prepare the Global Energy Stadium for the return of a near full capacity following this weeks exciting news regarding the admittance of more supporters, we can now provide a further update in relation to the West Stand.

Following a call with the Joint Response Group (JRG) made up of representatives from the SPFL and SFA, it has been confirmed that football clubs must continue to adhere to strict social distancing rules within the operational red zone (Players, Management and Appointed Red Zone Staff Only). This means that within the changing room, stand and pitch side areas full adherence must continue in following 2 metre social distancing for the players, management and appointed red zone staff only. Fans will still not require to socially distance within the stadium.

This means that season ticket holders in the West Stand will be re-allocated seats for our upcoming match v Rangers on 22nd August 2021. As many people will have seen when attending the stadium and across Television coverage last season, the configuration for the majority of the West Stand was used by Substitutes and Club Staff operating within the strict Red Zone protocols. We will now have to keep that configuration until we are advised otherwise by the Joint Response Group. In addition, this also effects our ability to admit supporters through the West Stand turnstiles which are also currently located within a Red Zone area.

We fully understand that this will cause a level of frustration, however we are mindful that the pandemic is still here in our community and we will have to continue to work to the guidance and protocols that are placed in front of us.

West Stand season ticket holders will receive paper tickets through the post with re-allocated seats over the coming week or will be contacted as to when they can be collected.

Thank you once again for your patience and co-operation during this period.
