On Saturday 30th October we had hoped to run a collection for the local foodbank here in Dingwall. With the match postponed we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our supporters, staff and players who continued to donate with no match taking place.

First team players Jack Baldwin & Jordan Tillson took a van full of donations to the Free Church here in Dingwall where the goods were warmly received by some of the volunteers who run the Blythswood Food Bank based at the Church.

Highland Foodbank, run by Christian charity Blythswood, opened in 2005 and supports people at times of crisis.

In its 16-year existence, it has helped feed more than 75,000 people right across the Highlands. Although both fixtures against Hibernian on 30th October and 3rd November were postponed, the Players had a donation drive in the dressing room as well as staff and academy teams. This was coupled with the incredible support from our fan base across the Highlands & Islands.

Lorna Dempster, Highland Foodbank manager, added: “As we move towards the winter we see the challenges local people face trying to pay their bills and feed their families.

“We are so grateful to Ross County in giving us their support as we aim to feed local people in times of crisis.”

Steven Ferguson, CEO of Ross County FC said: "We are really overwhelmed by the commitment of our supporters to not let the postponements get in the way of this campaign. Everybody knows that we try our best to serve our community and to play our small part in this is really pleasing."

"I have to give huge credit to our supporters, players, staff and academy players at the football club who really got behind us. Everybody has come together and it shows what can be achieved for our community when we all pull in the same direction."
