29/06/2021

Ross County are delighted to announce the signing of striker Dominic Samuel subject to International Clearance.

Dominic joins the Staggies on a 2-year contract after spending last season with Gillingham FC.

Dominic started his career with the prestigious Reading Academy, gaining a professional contact after scoring 13 goals in 14 games for their U-18s side in 2011/12- with his Premier League debut coming the following season against Sunderland. During his 5-year stay with the Royals, he had successful loans at Coventry (6 goals in 12 starts), Gillingham (7 goals in 24 starts), as well as becoming an England Youth International.

Dominic’s goal-scoring exploits earned him a permanent move to League One powerhouses Blackburn Rovers, and 8 goals in 20 league starts earned them promotion back to the Championship.

After 3 years at Ewood Park, Dominic signed for Gillingham, where he spent last season. He now continues his journey by committing to Ross County FC, bringing a wealth of experience at Premier League, Championship and League One levels in England.

On signing Dominic Manager Malky Mackay said,

“We are delighted to bring someone of Dominic’s experience and calibre to Ross County. He has been a regular goal scorer in English football and brings a new dynamic to our club. We have tracked Dominic for a period of time- following his development and we are excited by his potential.”

“At 27, we are signing a striker in his prime years and we look forward to bringing the best out of him here. Dominic adds competition to the forward area, as well as a footballing pedigree that brings excitement at the top end of the pitch.”
